Selling With Confidence 

We understand it can be a difficult decision to sell your engine or vehicle, many machines carry with them emotional ties and fond memories. Here at Marston we want you to know that your engine will be looked after with upmost care, attention and 100% client confidentiality. We at Marston have the facility to store your engine or vehicle at our premises, this can often help make selling the vehicle more appealing to potential buyers. We will work with you to provide the most reasonable price you'd like for your vehicle*.

Brokering

As a customer you have the option for us to broker the engine and will work with you to guarantee the most reasonable and realistic price pending any work (if any) that needs to be done on the engine. As part of our service to you we can either store your engine at our premises or come out to the location of the engine at your designated site.  Please contact a member of the team to discuss the best plan available to you and your engine/vehicle.

Don't want to advertise your engine?

We understand that sometimes you do not want the world to know that your engine is up for sale. We have a number of private clients are are always on the lookout for a steam vehicle.

Sell the Engine or a Vehicle to us

We are happy to consider purchasing the engine or vehicle from you at a competitive market rate. The market value will reflect the overall condition of the engine or vehicle. We have the right to refuse purchase of the engine or vehicle on the condition that it passes our inspection which will be carried out by a qualified independent inspector.

Part Exchange

Fancy a change? We offer part exchange on vehicles.

What is Included Within our Fees?

Our aim is to offer a one stop shop where we will take care of every part of the sale as listed below.

  • Upto 10 photos and a video

  • Writeup 

  • Handling telephone calls

  • Responding to emails

  • Organising viewings both in and out of steam (if a steam engine and in ticket).

  • Storage at site indoors (Subject to space available)

What is not included in our sales fees?

  • Transport of any vehicle or engine**

  • Boiler inspection and/or hydraulic testing

  • Any engineering works

  • Engine insurance

 

*Price agreed is subject to the owners discretion. Marston Steam and Vintage Restorations Limited, will work with you to provide the best price possible subject to any remedial works needed on the engine.  

**vehicles stored off site will be subject to milage charge of 0.70p per mile (inc VAT) (this will change depending on fuel prices)
